About Us

The Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a peer-driven and administratively supported organization with the primary goal of fostering instructional excellence among educators, supporting student success, and promoting the exchange of high-impact teaching and learning practices university-wide.

Mission

Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) collaborates with colleagues and graduate students across the University to help instructors excel in their teaching, and to support student learning. The Center is dedicated to personalize instructors’ professional development by offering a variety of programs, services, and resources. Instructors have great opportunities to connect with colleagues, explore teaching practices and pedagogies, access to the current and emerging technologies, and apply and assess different instructional strategies in classes. The CTL is committed to enhance the culture of teaching and learning on campus, and further, the quality of education at WKU.

Vision

1.We champion student success by leveraging data-driven methods and cutting-edge tools, enriching and personalizing every learner's journey to meet their unique educational needs. This approach also aims to ignite a long-term passion for learning and support personal growth.
2.For faculty enhancement, we focus on developing teaching skills through innovative, evidence-based strategies, fostering a teaching culture that values pedagogical excellence and continuous improvement in instructional methods .
3.Our community-building initiatives are grounded in the principles of diversity, innovation, and lifelong learning, aiming to create an inclusive environment where ideas and experiences are shared freely, nurturing a vibrant and dynamic educational community.

jingyuanJingyuan Fu(Olivia)

Dr. Jingyuan Fu currently serves as the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Wenzhou-Kean University, where she promotes innovative teaching practices and supports faculty development. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Houston. Dr. Fu is dedicated to assisting faculty design research-based, technology-enhanced learning environments that support effective teaching across multiple formats.

sandyjpgYirui Jiang (Sandy)

Yirui Jiang is an instructional designer at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She holds an M.S. in Educational Technology from New York University and a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. Her primary passion revolves around the realm of educational technology and its capacity to revolutionize the methods of teaching and learning. She is committed to creating innovative programs, services, and resources that can genuinely enhance the equity and efficiency of the educational experience for both educators and learners by integrating cutting-edge technology and exploring effective teaching methods.

enleiEnlei Chen(Cecilia)
Enlei Chen is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Administration at Wenzhou-Kean University and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Center for Teaching and Learning. Her primary responsibilities include assisting the department with teaching research, developing teaching resources, and providing support to both students and faculty.

Duo Liu is a graduate student majoring in Psychology and serves as a . Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She holds a B.A. in Financial Management from the Wenzhou University of Technology. At the graduate level, her primary passion revolves around combining psychology and education to help better teachers and students carry out teaching activities and technical support.
